Lot 3398 WHITE BOXED RUGER OLD MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK

REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Mag. S# 8711. Bbl. 7 1/2" with serrated blade integral to its ramped base; correct frame mounted adjustable rear sight by Micro. Mfg. 1962 (1959-1973) as Model S47 having eagle logo near barrel address (without "INC."). Standard features of wide spur hammer, wide serrated trigger, unfluted counterbored cylinder and Dragoon style grip frame (slight plum hue) having varnished walnut grips with black eagle medallions. Does not have factory safety update parts; original lockwork. White boxed Supers shipped after demise of factory that made the mahogany presentation boxes for Ruger. References note about 3,000 white boxes shipped. When the white boxes started, Ruger gave the revolvers a deluxe high polish finish and a reduced price; nice value for the buyers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good white box having break by front sight on interior cut out. Includes fair exterior slipcover having "8711" on long edge plus "Lee Hardware Co. Salina, Kansas" label and marker applied "Files & Gun 44". Noticeable black ink stains along both long edges on top of slipcover. Very good multifold manual dated "9/1/59" plus unmarked consumer portion of warranty card (customer section was sent to factory). CONDITION: all aspects near excellent with appearance of well done factory refinish. (26-1087/NW). CURIO. $1,500-1,750.
